Privacy Policy

Plain and simple: we collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data.

Last updated: June 3, 2026

This site, thelostsigil.com, is the official home of The Lost Sigil, an epic fantasy series by Raymond Beckham and Darius Cook. This policy explains what information we handle and how.

What we collect

The only personal information we actively collect is the email address you provide when you sign up for our mailing list. We don't ask for your name or anything else.

Like any website, our hosting provider also processes standard technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify or profile you.

How we use it

We use your email address solely to send updates about the series — new releases, cover reveals, and related news. That's it. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers or other third parties.

Cookies & tracking

We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not run third-party trackers — no Meta/Facebook Pixel, no Google Analytics, no session recording. The only cookies in play are strictly necessary ones:

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data only to make the site work:

Unsubscribing

You can leave the mailing list at any time, and it's instant — no waiting on us. Either click the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email, or visit thelostsigil.com/unsubscribe and enter your email address. Both remove you from the list right away. You can also email us if you prefer.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. California residents have the right to know about and request deletion of their personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Since we only hold your email address and never sell it, honoring these requests is straightforward — just email us.

Data retention

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
